Information handling in the LangJournal application
This app does not provide personal information that can identify individuals to third parties.
When sending support emails, we only include device type and OS version information, and do not send personal information that can identify individuals.
To improve app usability, we conduct anonymous access analysis. We also anonymously send crash causes when the app crashes, which we use for bug fixes.
To improve service quality and to conduct research and share information about language learning, we may process diary text, correction results, and usage data into statistical information that cannot identify individuals, and use or publish it. Published statistics never include personally identifiable information or the original text of diaries.
Diary text, correction results, and AI chat conversations are sent to AI service providers (such as OpenAI) to the extent necessary to generate corrections, comments, conversations, and memory, and to perform analysis and statistical processing for quality improvement. Data sent this way is not used by these providers to train AI models.
To tailor comments and conversations to your learning, the AI assistant saves what you write in your diaries and AI chats (such as learning goals and facts about you) as "memory". You can review your memory anytime in the app settings, turn remembering off, and delete items individually or all at once. Memory has no expiration and is kept until you delete it. Memory is also deleted when you delete your account.
When you delete your account, data in your personal account area, including regular journal entries, corrections, AI chats, and memory, is deleted. Posts and comments shared with a team remain after account deletion to preserve the conversation history of that shared space.
