A regular journal entry in LangJournal is not created as a public page. This guide explains the actions that make an entry visible to others and how entries are handled for AI processing and memory.
Regular journal entries
Database access to regular journal entries and their corrections is restricted to the owner of the entry. They do not appear in lists intended for other users.
LangJournal does not use end-to-end encryption that would make access technically impossible even for authorized service operators. The service must be able to process the text to provide features such as AI correction and support.
Entries with a share link
You can create a share link for an individual entry. After you create one, anyone who knows the URL can view the shared page.
- A share link is not issued until you choose to create one.
- You can choose whether to include additional information such as the original text, CEFR results, comments, images, or videos.
- If you edit the journal later, the shared page may not change until you update it.
- Selecting "Stop Sharing" makes the link unavailable.
A share link can be forwarded or posted publicly. Review the included content even when you intend to send the link only to people you know.
Entries and comments posted to a team
A team is a shared area for interacting with other users. Your journal is not posted to a team automatically; only content you choose to post is included.
Before posting, check the text, images, and videos for anything you do not want others to see. Team content may be reviewed by the service operator when responding to reports or investigating rule violations.
AI processing
To provide corrections, explanations, comments, AI conversations, and memory, journal text, correction results, and conversation content are sent to AI service providers to the extent required for processing.
See the Privacy Policy for the purposes of processing and how external services handle this data. Before entering personal information or information you do not want others to know, consider whether it is necessary for the activity.
Memory
When Memory is enabled, AI may create information from supported journal entries and conversations for use in later comments and conversations.
Open Settings > Memory to review what has been saved, pause the feature, or delete individual or all items. AI-generated information is not always perfect, so review the list occasionally and delete anything inaccurate or anything you do not want to keep.

Account deletion and data
You can request account deletion from Settings > About Account Deletion. Data in your personal account area, including regular journal entries, corrections, AI chats, and memory, is included in the deletion process.
Posts and comments shared with a team remain after account deletion to preserve the conversation history of that shared space.
Service operation and analytics
Authorized service operators can access data when necessary for operating the service, responding to incidents, maintaining safety, and improving quality. LangJournal does not use a system that makes such access technically impossible.
